Chess Tournament

Evan and I attended a chess tournament in Carlisle on Sat. We went with a classmate of Evan and his dad. They played five matches against kids from PA, VA, NJ, MD and DE. Once these kids do a tournament they are ranked so Evan and his friend are both now ranked. They each lost some and won some. There was some pretty stiff competition. Evan lost his first match and then won his second match but made a mistake and marked it as a loss. His third match he won in six moves and his fourth match he won in four moves. He then lost his fifth match. He was in the K-3 class group. It was a beautiful day so in between matches we played baseball, football, and frisbee, outside. It was a good thing we took balls, bats, gloves and the frisbee, the kids had a blast. These pictures were taken with our point and shoot so forgive the quality.
